For this task we were put into groups of four with people we didn't know very well and we had to write down what adjectives came into our heads when looking at each other. The list of words/phrases I got was:
- Nice hair
- Seems like a caring personality
- Looks good- keeps up with appearance
- Smart
- Classy
- Caring
- Friendly
- Well groomed
- Stylish
- Bubbly
- Creative
- Sociable
- Considerate
- Polite
- Trustworthy
At first I thought it was a bit of an awkward experience because it's hard to judge someone by how they look and your first impression of them. However I then began to see the importance of the task as not everyone you meet in life especially when in industry will get the chance to get to know you therefore the brief 10 minutes you get to talk to them in interviews etc is the only information they have in order to be able to form an opinion on you. I think the feedback I got was very positive and reassuring because things like 'friendly' 'smart' 'polite' 'trustworthy' and 'considerate' are all things that I want to represent. Overall I enjoyed the task but think it could've been better if we did it anonymously some how as I think this would generate more honest answers.
