- 365 project, always collecting and looking for things that can be used this made the 365 project easy for them because they had so many different materials to use
- go with your gut feeling, if you believe in a company then do work for them
- making connections and collaborating with people all over the world is important
- making leaflets that promote yourself using collage, cheap and easy to do
- starting something from scratch is a financial struggle so don't be fooled
- use your own imagery to avoid copy right issues
- you don't have to move to London to be a good designer despite what people may think
- Make met Peter Saddle when he was a 2nd year student at uni, when he asked Peter how he could become a successful graphic designer he said in order to do that he would have to move to London
- using social media to scout work, look for businesses posting about needing a graphic designer and respond to them
- been apart from someone doesn't mean you can't collaborate and do work together, communicating over the phone and visually is just as good as been face to face
HOW TO SUCCEED
- make good shit, no matter who you're working for
- find out what you're interested in
- collaborate
- go out and see the world to gather inspiration, go to different cities and art galleries to obtain a new perspective
- be brave and don't worry too much
- just ask people if you can work for them don't be afraid
- don't be bothered if people say no to you
- follow your own trends and set your own trends, individual work is much more desirable
