I have really enjoyed PPP this year and despite not perusing graphic design as a career I think it has given me the perfect opportunity to round off my 3 years as one. Doing the personal branding gave me time to reflect on my time at uni and everything I have learnt on my journey here. The branding I have produced is really representative of myself and my creativity as well as my love for the colour pink.
Last summer I did a placement at a branding agency and I think that is what made me truly realise I didn’t want to go into graphic design, compared to the voluntary work I had done in primary schools it was nowhere near as enjoyable.
Initially I felt a bit silly wanting to change from graphic design to primary teaching but I am really happy with all the support and encouragement I have received this year from all staff. I am glad that my PPP blog has given me a platform to talk about my experience apply for a PGCE. I went through a long research, application and interview process before being offered a place on a SCITT course and it is nice to look back at this on my blog as well as show people what I have been doing.
